Ailsa Craig - The star of the onion patch! Brought to the US from the British Isles in 1887, these are by far the sweetest, largest and best fresh-eating onions out there.
Red Tropea - A ‘torpedo’ shaped Italian heirloom that combines the pungent flavor of a red onion with the mild sweetness of a sweet yellow. Especially great for salads or pickling when they’re still long and slender.
Sweet Spanish - Sweet as a Walla Walla but with longer storage potential.
